The Destroyer is the smaller and less powerful of the two offensively oriented capital ships that the Hiigaran player can build. Designed to serve as an anti-frigate platform, the Hiigaran Destroyer fields dual torpedo launchers along with four massive turrets which the ship turns to use as a broadside against its targets.
Destroyers are the Least expensive of all the capital ships, along with being capable of fielded in the highest numbers. In addition to this, Destroyers are also the only capital ship that cannot build additional subsystems to enhance it's capabilities, which includes Hyperspace Modules, although it does have an engine subsystem which can be disabled by enemies.

Prerequisites: Research Module and Capital Ship Facility.
Destroyer Hull 2
"Improves Destroyer Hulls to level 2."
Prerequisites: Advanced Research Module and Capital Ship Facility.
Destroyer Engine 1
"Improves Destroyer conventional drive systems."
Prerequisites: Research Module and Capital Ship Facility.
Destroyer Engine 2
"Improves Destroyer conventional drive systems to level 2."
